Administrative/Operational Support
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
Work in either:
- A program or an outpatient clinic that provides services directly to individuals with developmental and learning disabilities.
- An administrative support department at our Central Office in Manhattan.
Receptionist
Monitor reception area, greet and direct visitors, operate a busy switchboard, interact with vendors, perform data entry, and maintain correspondence.
Requirements:
HS Diploma/equivalent and related experience.
Administrative Assistant
Duties include typing, filing, answering the phone, correspondence. Maintain databases, interact with vendors, track expenses, and work on special projects. Provide support to either one manager or a group of staff.
Requirements:
Entry level to experienced positions. Associate's or Bachelor's degree or some business courses plus one year of administrative experience.
Office Manager
Ensure the smooth operation of administrative support systems. Establish relationships with vendors. Process invoices, personnel paperwork, new employee processing, and facility maintenance. Some positions include supervision of support staff.
Requirements:
Vary based on position. Associate's or Bachelor's degree or some business courses and two years of experience.
Scheduler
Work in an outpatient clinic. Maintain clinicians' schedules and templates in an IDX database. Edit daily schedules; communicate changes to manager and schedulers. Provide coverage for clinic reception. Assist with editing and maintenance of dictionaries and schedules.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred. Some experience, excellent computer (MS Office) skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills a plus.
OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
Building Maintenance Worker
Maintain facilities at preschools, adult day programs and adult group homes. Perform heating and ventilation maintenance, plumbing, painting, plastering, and electrical work. Some positions require travel to multiple sites.
Requirements:
HS Diploma/equivalent and related experience. Valid driver's license may be required for some positions.
Cook
Cook, purchase food and supplies for an adult group home. Maintain a food budget, plan and prepare nutritious meal plans, accommodate the nutritional and medical needs of residents. May involve housekeeping duties and teaching cooking skills.
Requirements:
HS Diploma/GED, experience cooking for large groups.
Housekeeper
Perform housekeeping and ensure health and safety of residents in an adult group home. Some positions may include cooking responsibilities.

HS Diploma/equivalent and some experience.
