Provide clinical services to people with developmental and learning disabilities in a variety of settings.
LPN
Educate direct service staff regarding residents’ medical issues under supervision of an RN.
Requirements: NYS Practical Nurse License, experience in MR/DD or related field.
RN
Residential Facilities
Work in two or three group homes. Help to assess, plan, and implement medical care for residents. Oversee medical systems and in-service training of direct service staff. Participate in team meetings, provide medically related in-service programs to staff.
Requirements:
AA or BSN, NYS license, MR/DD, or related experience.
Premier HealthCare
Assist physicians in a primary care outpatient medical facility. Follow up with patient education and case management issues related to medical care and/or referrals. Work in a strong team environment with a professional staff of doctors, nurses, and medical support.
Requirements:
BSN, NYS license, MR/DD, or related experience.
Certified Home Health Agency
Provide nursing/medical service to patients with developmental disabilities in their homes.
Requirements:
RN license, minimum of one year RN experience. CHHA or MR/DD experience a plus.
Occupational/Physical Therapist
Evaluate and deliver services to children with developmental delays and/or adults with developmental and learning disabilities. Work in a variety of settings. Maintain a caseload, perform evaluations, develop treatment plans, and assist in program development. Interdisciplinary environment with a strong team approach.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy, appropriate NYS license.
Speech Language Pathologist
Evaluations and delivery of speech services in a variety of settings for children and adults with developmental and learning disabilities. Develop treatment plans and interact with other clinicians. Interdisciplinary environment with a strong team approach.
Requirements:
Minimum of Master's degree, NYS license, TSHH, and Bilingual extension (or in process), where appropriate.
Psychologist
Maintain a caseload and provide clinical services in a variety of settings. Provide individual and family counseling, group work, and play therapy. Perform assessment testing and evaluations. Develop and implement treatment and behavior plans, crisis intervention, and staff training. Coordinate referrals and ensure quality of services.
Requirements:
Doctorate or Master's degree in Clinical or School Psychology (depending on position). NYS Psychology license or NYS School Psychology Certification required for some positions. Related experience required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills a plus.
School Psychologist (New York League for Early Learning)
Work in a preschool. Annually assess and evaluate children up to the age of five. Coordinate, participate in, and lead parent groups and family sessions. Provide play therapy and counseling.
Requirements:
Master's degree in School Psychology and NYS School Psychology Certification. Experience with Special Education and Early Childhood population strongly preferred.
Social Worker
Provide clinical services in a program, perform individual and family counseling, group work, and play therapy. Conduct parent groups, provide assessments, psychosocials and evaluations. Develop treatment plans and crisis intervention, coordinate referrals, and ensure quality of services. Serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Social Work and related experience. Some positions require certification in Social Work (LMSW or LCSW) and/or NYS School Social Worker Certification. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills a plus.
